Degree Show Setup

Image
I've started setting up my exhibition booth and it took me quite a while to decorate till it looks how I visualized. One thing I have an advantage on the second floor is the detachable lights. Since my play area is huge and it will look empty, I decided to use light source to set the mood for my area, thus creating this atmosphere that closely fit to my detective genre. I even set a light that directly shine at the center of my play area, just like how the in game environment.  I did a few quick test to make sure that the game has enough safe space in between the play area and the walls around it. I even went to the Ace hardware to get the caution tape to decorate the floor, and I am happy of how it looks in the end.

3D printing for the clamps

After a discussion with my lecturer, he suggested that i meet up with Ron, who might be able to help me with setting up the VR lighthouse without the tripod. The reason that I don't want to use 2 tripod is because the base are too wide and it's blocking the play area. Ron helped me to print out both custom clamps to attach to the auto pole so that I could clamp the lighthouses on it. Both of the design fit's perfectly on the pole and the lighthouse is tightly screwed on to it. I am grateful that Ron helped me to work on the 3D printing and designing the clamps, it won't be possible without his help on this.

Unity Consultation

This week I've met up with a lecturer who kinda specialized in Unity, at least to me. I asked of her assistance in create an accurate UI display in the VR game and also how to set a timer countdown for it. She is very good in it as she seems to have all the answers on her fingertips. She taught me how to set it properly and also lend me a unity textbook to type out the timer countdown codes.  Over here are the working UI  and timer countdown.
